Tomoko Takeda(b.1975,Japan) is a painter who based in New York)

I am a painter who explores the possibilities of art and human creation in the age of AI technology.

My interest lies in how developments in science, such as new forms of intelligence and quantum mechanics, are reshaping human visual culture. As we approach a transformative moment in which singularity is expected to arrive in the near future, I am creating works with the intention of rethinking human physical potential and the energy of creation through art.

One body of my works focuses on acrylic paintings that incorporate images of nature and geometric patterns. Inspired by the natural world and deeply informed by my background as a graphic designer and professional chef, these works highlight the interplay between mathematical precision and biological vitality. Through the thoughtful use of color and composition, I create rhythm and balance, visualizing multidimensional spaces that offer a distinctive perspective on the interconnectedness of our world.

Another body of my work is a series of egg tempera paintings that explore human emotions and narratives. I am influenced by the cultural diversity of New York, as well as my background in Asian religious art, biological patterns, textiles, and ancient architecture. These works investigate universal human stories, myths, and shared experiences that transcend cultural boundaries, while examining both the entertainment value and the deeper sensibilities inherent in storytelling. Together, they reflect a rich tapestry of human experience.

In these bodies of work, I am challenging myself to incorporate new technologies and AI. I believe that creation, rooted in coexistence, has the power to shape a richer future.
