Lasting for six weeks, each residency is a unique opportunity to work in a private studio stocked with Liquitex materials, within a community of over 50 creative makers in East Orange, NJ. The workspace is a bright, airy loft in Manufacturers Village, originally an industrial complex built in the 19th century.

This project involves a collaboration between the Japanese restaurant Hirohisa and a product designer to create packaging for homemade ice cream. The designs are inspired by several seasonal flavors, showcasing a harmonious blend of culinary artistry and thoughtful design.

Commission Works 2024
The eto (干支) is a traditional calendrical system originating in China that combines the Ten Heavenly Stems (Jikkan) and the Twelve Earthly Branches (Juunishi). However, in modern Japan, the term eto is often used to refer specifically to the Twelve Zodiac Animals (Juunishi). The year 2024 corresponds to the Year of the Dragon, which inspired a request for dragon-themed artwork.
